Launching a contest, do people accept payments other than Paypal?

Discussion in 'Payment Processing' started by Chris K, Jul 21, 2013.

I'm looking to launch a logo contest here in the near future but it seems as if everyone uses Paypal only as a payment option. I currently don't use Paypal due to a horrible experience in the past (Long story short, digital goods (Webdesign) got ripped off, I have to pay Paypal back)

So, my question is... What other popular payment option could I offer once a winner is selected? Other than Paypal.

    Thanks,
    Chris

    Hi Chris,

Your best bet, other than PayPal, would be MoneyBookers. I know of a few users here (both via PMs and through threads I've seen) that use MoneyBookers as their personal alternatives to PayPal. If you clearly state in the thread that the winner would be paid via MoneyBookers, you should have no problems.

    Good luck with your contest!

Paypal is the most common used payment processor and owned by mostly everyone who works online but there are countries where Paypal isn't support so you must provide with multiple options.

Thanks to "David" for sending me a penny, that enabled my Google wallet account so I can send money via E-mail or directly from my Gwallet account.

I'm aware of that, please read my original post so you would know why I'm trying to use a different payment option. Right now I am working on my Skrills account (aka money booker) and just got my Gwallet good to go.
