Two of the latest big ass IM launches, what do you think? If you're active and up to date with all the latest affiliate marketing who harr then you will probably know about Anik Singal (the dude from affiliate classroom and ppc classroom) and Mike Filsaime (the dude from butterfly marketing) are about to release what is most likely their 2009 focus, Launch Tree. I have already recieved emails from various top IM names who I subscribe to informing me of the Launch Tree. Site located @ http://www.launchtree.com/ Their product is kind of a case study of the PPC Classroom launch (which I was lucky to be a part of ) where Amit Mehta & Anik Singal made over $10M giving their product away for free. It focuses on the money left "on the table" by many affiliates, unique upselling and downselling techinques for increased conversion amongst other things. Post your opinions .
The problem I have with these products is that they always focus on internet marketing launches. Jeff Walker's Product Launch Formula (and to some extent Frank Kern's Mass Control) uses "real world" niches to explain their techniques, which makes it much more relevant and applicable. Chances are they'll document the launch of the Launch Tree as the next product - Launch Tree 2. In my eyes that's kinda cheating. Still, $10m isn't bad (!). The free stuff is probably worth reading. Yeah, they have used some form of real life examples in the first video with Brian Johnson. They talk about upselling techniques McDonald's uses and have been using for years which I think is great in the eyes of the new internet marketer as they can relate to it easily.
I read through the first free chapter. The info that is in this chapter and probably will be in the book is available free and as edrectory said most large companies etc. already use them. HOWEVER it looks like a good compilation of the best methods based on their real-life tests and these kind of "experiments" worth gold in themselves. Plus you can buy the product just to see how they'll handle their up- and downsell procedures!
