Latest version of BANS released

Discussion in 'Commission Junction' started by Claudek, Mar 3, 2008.

Just noticed that BANS 3.0 has been released.

Will be interesting to see how much it has improved. I'll wait a couple of weeks before implementing it myself - helps to see what problems if any others are having.

Still, from what i've read and the discussions so far, it looks like a very worthwhile release.

I see the ebay affiliate links are now masked using your domain name. Does this affect your CJ reports/stats?

What other changes have you noticed from the admin panel?

I'd be more excited if Google didn't seem to slap every BANS site I put up. Personally I think WP is a better way to go. Just my 2 cents.

I was planning to build a bans site some week ago and I decided to wait till 3.0 appears.

For me (a new user) I find it very easy to use.

I can set up each page just putting on it the keyword, also in each section you can set up a custom metatag like title and keywords.

I don't really know how it affect cj reports because ... as I said I'm new with bans

I suspect the reason you are getting slap is because your site appear to be thin affiliate site.

My suggestion: remove footprints as much as possible and add more unique contents.

I've got a BANS site that's #1 for it's keyword, ahead of the manufacturer's site. Google likes BANS just fine if you flesh it out a bit.

Why does everyone want to do another iPod BANS? That niche is so crowded that you'll risk suffocation. Call the Fire Marshall!

The store has no content, what do you expect? It probably has no good backlinks either.

I think that BANS works best when associated with a content website. And even if the field is crowded with iPod bans stores, you should still get crossover from your blog.

And, hey, if the iPod BANS is not a big money maker, you can still build other niche stores until you find the ones that really work for you. (Some of my stores have made good money and others, well, patience is a virtue.)

I'd guess that someone who is interested in iPod will also be interested in electrical gadgets and music.
