"Latest Links" SEO-friendly URL for phpLD

To understand what I mean, see:

Example 1 (common used form for URL]

and

Example 2 (SEO-friendly URL)

So how do I change my "Latest Links" URL to make it into a SEO-friendly URL like Example 2?

 

try to edit top-bar.tpl

FIND: {$smarty.const.DOC_ROOT}/index.php?list=latest
REPLACE BY: {$smarty.const.DOC_ROOT}/latest-links.html

FIND: {$smarty.const.DOC_ROOT}/index.php?list=latestarticles
REPLACE BY: {$smarty.const.DOC_ROOT}/latest-articles.html

FIND: {$smarty.const.DOC_ROOT}/index.php?list=top
REPLACE BY: {$smarty.const.DOC_ROOT}/top-hits.html

Do you think people will search for keywords like "latest links"
then why use ?

 

Personally I find latest links more important than top hits.
I noticed people submitting links, after approval, often check latest links to see if their listing exists.
Whatever: it is always good to use mod rewrite for non-seo-friendly URL.

Another thing is: whether we should use latest links and top hits or no.
At least: make 'nofollow' or use redirect for listings URLs on such kind of lists.

 

the latest listings page is one of the strongest pages in a directory as it is the one that is updated the most and hence crawled the most. It can be used to help crawling the details pages. I forward the listings to the details pages in this specific page. the top hits page is not useful at all.

 

And how does it make more Seo Friendly can you explain as we are discussing seo friendly latest links ??
