I know you guys know everything so i need your help. I am sure this was covered before but rumors and rules change a lot. So.... Question 1 : How many keyword should everyone have ? As far as i know its somewhere between 3-10. More people say it should be 3. What is the right number for SEO. I know it all depends on a site but on average ?? Question 2 : How do you separate keywords ? Some people say word, forum, write, answer and some say word forum write answer So what is it better and on what do you base your answer ? Thanks
There is no need to obsess over the keywords metatag. It won't improve your rankings at all. You just have to make sure you do not spam this tag with lots of keyword repetition. You would be better off focusing on your onpage content and your backlinks.
I always use a comma between keywords and as for how many, I usually pick around 10-15, obviously it doesn't make much difference for your serp but don't go overboard and pick 100's.
I know that content is very important and i will work on it but still i cant leave empty spot for keywords. I need to do something - even if it will help me only 1 %. I was thinking to put about 3-5 keywords. Or should i go crazy and do 10 ? Anyone else have a comment on space or commas between keywords. Thanks
It won't even help you 1%. You can probably find some sites with very good rankings with no keyword meta tag at all. It shouldn't matter whether you use commas or just list each individual word separated by spaces. Either way won't help your rankings. If you absolutely need to put something there, I would just put 3 - 5 keywords that you hope to rank for separated by commas.
Higher the number of keywords, lesser will be the impact. Try to target the more important ones and dump the crappy ones. Repetition of keywords or spamming will do more harm than good
Ive been doing as many as I see as relevant to the page/article in question. Sometimes its 3-5;sometimes its 10-13
Hi, I am a newbie for SEO. Anybody can tell me where the keywords are paste in the website codes? Jack
I took about 30 Keywords when I started SEOing my website, and believe me now, I am working top ten for about 8 of them. You need to focus on Title tags, descriptions, especially search engines including Google like when you have maintained a nice density in your Title and Meta Tags. Besides, you have to make sure that you maintain an ideal keyword density (about 2.5 - 3%) in your body text. Try using keywords that LSI-based and you wont have to repeat the same keywords again and again. I hope this info will work for you just as much as it did for me.
