The majority of the thousands of Article Sites are a waste of time as they are usually neglected or are just harvesting your email address. Most of them pick up articles from the major sites anyway so there is no reason to go through the trouble. It isn't about dup content as much as time efficiency. I hadn't thought of it but its a good suggestion. I will probably ad a little checkbox "Hide in Public Profile" Thanks for the suggestion T0PS! Correct I run that site as an independant entity and it hasn't made back its investment (most of it my time). But longevity works that way, and I never expect a site to make me a profit in the first 9-12 months. I could make a quick buck and sell the database and the script a 100 times but I actually want to try to build a resource. Thanks for the kind words!
Thanks for the answers. I look forward to being able to group my articles in my account but knowing they aren't tracable back to myself. Giving away free ads might have to do with it
Don't worry, no one will know about your French Tickler articles It will be said when someone buys those places out
I see your tactics now, give it away to a high profile entity to create the impression it's expensive adspace Back on topic, I've got some articles ready now, written by a DP newbie (skilled though!). I'm going to slightly tweak them so 2 relevant links are added. One to an authority on the subject and one to us. I figured that way the page has higher chance of ranking hence being more worth to us in terms of link relevancy and it's better for the readers as well to have quality an drelevant sources linked. And that way the pitch is reduced to a sentence in a 500 word objective article. I hope that's regarded ethical and suitable. I look forward to reaping the AD rewards.
We have been changing a lot to accomodate the new User Admin section so there are a few overlap issues. These will all be corrected after the rollout on Tuesday. Thanks for letting us know though as I know that can be annoying at times. Cheers
Enjoy! We have also in the spirit of Google, made our User Admin section Beta. We have a lot to still add but you can register and submit articles through your control panel. Once all the features are added, you will get all the benefits. Thanks! PS. Quick Submit is still available and requires no sign up etc. This option will always be available so no need to worry
i have given the article depot a free featured listing since i like it so much and think it has great potential. http://www.directory.just-4-teens.com/Computers-Internet/Web-Directories-Search-Engines/
Thanks Just-For! We will soon have a new and improved Search Option for those that have been distributing the articles at Article Depot Our original method suited us when we were much smaller but it is now too vague and just about every search returns a few thousand results. This should be implemented by the end of the week. Our RSS feeds are finished although it may take a few days to work them into the navaigation. They will be fairly obvious though when they are integrated.
dunno how much hard work it would be but maybe you could do a bbcode version aswell as html like this http://www.teennonsense.com/funny-pics/view/funny-signs/embarrass.jpg below the pic its show html code for the link and bbcode.
Thats certainly an interesting idea. Do a lot of people use the articles for posts in forums? I may add that although it will be a bit down the list for now. The new User Admin is complete as far as functionality. It still needs to get a makeover but you can now edit your articles and view what you have submitted. We have also now finished the RSS Feeds so those should be popping up in the navigation over the next day or so. We now have a new schedule of new features and keep those requests coming by PM! Upcoming Features 1.) New Search Function - Jul 29th 2.) See Other Articles From This Author - This will mean the more you submit the more link popularity your old articles get - July 31st 3.) Number of Views - Our registered authors will be able to view how many times their article has been viewed - Aug 1st 3.) Publisher Account - This will allow Publishers to create an account where they can add articles to a shopping cart system so they can pull down all the articles they like then use them at their leisure - August 7th We are scheduling more improvements so keep an eye out. We will be starting a newsletter next week to announce new features so be sure to sign up on the left hand side of Article Depot
I know i normally post the articles on my forum first, let people discuss them or wotever, get some ideas from it and write a similar but unique one for my main pages.
Thanks for the feedback Just-For We have now implemented the following improvements: 1.) Updated Search Box - You can now search for complete phrases or any of the words in that phrase. It is also signifigantly faster (sometimes 10x on big searches) 2.) All RSS Feeds are up - Right now there are two feeds on each category. Some of the feeds will be empty as they are getting updated. After the initial period, they will be updated every 24 hours. Here is an example: http://www.articledepot.co.uk/list-Advice.htm You will see the two feeds on the upper left Cheers
Would it be possible to see a distribution tally of our articles just like PRWeb? Like: [Article Title] edit | view - Pickup: 48 RSS requests, 12 Get HTML requests (I finally submitted two, more to come!)
