Good for you meblogger.. Yeah product widgets are so old fashion nowadays.. People go for the links and I am starting to do this within my posts and it increased my clicks and suggestions are a good way to approach a sale..
Another good aspect of adding links is that you can track the clicks using Google Analytics, as well as make them all nofollow
Those lousy widgets are nothing but banner ads for Amazon. Every successful Amazon affiliate tells me the same exact thing - the text links are what make money.
Can anyone recommend where I should go to buy a domain name? godaddy? name? namcheap? and where should I host it? To start earning, this is the most basic things needed? any advice?
I would recommend mochahost, a domain is very cheap, as well the hosting, the best thing I like about them is that its very easy to install any application, should it be a shopping cart, wordpress or phpbb, to install them is just a click away
For blog posts and reviews, definately agreed. For other situations (maybe a content site) the carousels etc. can convert well.
I have to ask the "dumb" question - I just created two sites today with amazon products (two specific product items per post and a widget) - how do I make links in text go to Amazon - if I ask for a text only it seems a really long link - can you still use anchor text with that? Thanks
