I have Premium Access to Keyword Tracking and I think Google has full access to my credit card for anything they want to charge me for. Yet when I refresh my 1000+ list of Keywords the "Last Check" column for roughly half of the keywords is December 31st 1969, and does not update the SERP. What's the root cause.
Can you click one of the keywords to check manually (it should return any error it's getting to you).
Today when I click an individual link, it accurately updates to "Today", without an error. Yet in a "Check All Rankings" it does not.
Hmmmm... possible you are exceeding your Google API quota? If you go here: https://code.google.com/apis/console/ ...and then go to "Reports", how many API calls are you making per day?
In API Reports only one category shows traffic. Custom Search API shows Total 60.45k, Requests/Day 25.3k, 2.16 Average. No messages re: exceeding any limit.
If you are seeing 35,300 average requests per day, I would suspect you have exceeded your API limit since Google only allows 100 per day by default normally. Google will allow an unlimited amount of queries but the will charge for queries beyond the first 100/day. http://code.google.com/apis/customsearch/v1/overview.html#Pricing Google allows you to create an unlimited number of projects, so you can actually have more than one API key (each is limited to 100 queries/day). In the keyword tracker preferences, you can specify multiple API keys by separating them with a pipe "|".
I believe there has been another significant change since this post. Does the "multiple API keys separated by a pipe" still process and function successfully?
Has anyone ever run into a limit for the number of API keys you can successfully use in a single keyword tracker account?
