I am focused heavily on improving the traffic at the moment and that is improving rapidly BUT any help on improving the CTR and click value for my site. Any suggestions? My site is in the signature.

You really cannot force people to click the ads, they will need to do it by themselves. So one method might be to increase the number of ad blocks up to the maximum of 3 per page and the other would be to ensure that the ads are more attractive than your website so much so that it will drive them away from your site by clicking on the Adsense Ads.

Don't post the impressions and clicks in the same post or thread! Not allowed in TOS i believe!

My theory is that if you are a new site then focus on:

    1. Building content
    2. Keeping the visitor
    3. building user loyalty

Then worry about ads and how much you earn... during start, less ads the better. Of course, that is just my opinion as I am no expert. :)

What is your website? Maybe, folks can suggest better placement of the ads? 807 impressions isn't much, you know?

    I hope that helps.

    Thanks.

I actually agree - just thought I'd test the ads for a week or two. I've now set my blog back to "no ads" in order to present it better in the short term.

OK, I've seen it done before.. didn't realise I was doing anything wrong? Is this correct?

Completely agree with you. It is a new site and it is building up - my niche relies HEAVILY on repeat users aka loyal readers so I will cater to this in the meantime. I've always known this but I thought I'd try out putting ads in for a short amount of time and I was just a little disappointed with the results.
