Last 6 PageRank Updates

From what I learned (or heard), PageRank is being updated and calculated daily at Google datacenters. However, a visible "update" is available to the public only once every few weeks. And in general the visible update is what we call "PR Update".

Checking through all the sites I have, I noticed 6 such updates since August 2006, here there are (dates are approximate):

12-Sep-06
19-Nov-06
24-Jan-07
21-Mar-07
14-Apr-07
6-May-07

Now it occur to me that the update seems to occur every 2 months or so (Sep, Nov, Jan, Mar). However, the last 3 updates occurs approximately 1 months from each other (Mar, Apr, May). Is it (a) Google release its update more frequently now, or (b) Google now take longer to go through the entire list of websites, and release update progressively, or (c) ... ...

What do you think?

I dont intend to discuss whether PR is useful or important. I am just trying share what I observed. So please be kind to me!

 

Maybe G likes your site, my sites tend to only update visible pr every 4 months

 

Can you explain a little more about how you checked PR and derived those dates?

The last three are interesting, especially the latest one - 6th May!

 

If those dates are correct, it must be progressive. I have seen no updates on my sites.

One of the tools I use was from Digital Point. I just check the graph and the details data for the graph.

Also using other tools where it will send alert when PR is changed.

 

i've noticed that they are updated on my sites every 4 months as well so it might just be you.

6th May 2007??? from where did u get that data? Some confirmed sources please..

i believe the last update was on 24-27th april.

Does it really matter to you if its april 24-27th or 6th May 2007 ? Thats just 2 weeks difference. Do we have to debate for that? On when was the PR update really? I think that would be such a waste of time. If you didn't get any PR update, better luck next PR update. Grow up!

 

I don't remember that google update PR last March. But I remember that everyone here in the forum are talking about the PR if when would they expect the PR update.

 

well i just received my backlinks updated given by google webmaster tool.

 

generally its 3 to four months to update pr by google, not one month or 2.

Last PR update was in march month and now its in April last week but here the things that i an guessing may be he might be confused from backlionks update because the backlinks update occurs in the time period of 2 months and after that PR update occurs.....what other guys says waiting for reply
