Larry, Sergey, mom always told me not to read the articles in Playboy, so why did you guys give an interview to them. Could this delay the IPO? http://zdnet.com.com/2100-1104_2-5307955.html?tag=zdnn.alert/ http://cbs.marketwatch.com/tools/quotes/newsarticle.asp?guid={3B0A3818-9C11-4D66-A069-93528237EEDD}&siteid=mktw&dist=nbs&symb=
I don't think Google's original investors are laughing right now Mel, but maybe Larry and Sergey will get them some dates to make up for the loss of value in their holdings. What the hell, I would give up a pile of cash to spend time at the Playboy mansion
If I had been one of those original investors who ponyed up a a half million or so for 15% ownership in Google I would be laughing. Lets see - a $500,000 investment is worth 1.5 billion five years later - that seems to me like something to get excited about.
Mel, if California fell into the ocean, you would make the best of it by promoting it as the next Hawaii. Now I know why you will always be successful at website promotion, you never give up You are smart too Mel, I read your SEO threads
The simple reality is that the Dynamic Duo did a very, very stupid thing--that being defined as something anyone with a lick of sense could and would have avoided--and G's IPO may be in some trouble because of it. This is not wild conjecture: it is what is being reported in sober business journalism. It was dumb because patent. The SEC rules forbid corporate officers from making public statements plausibly likely to affect estimation of the worth of their business for some reasonable, set period of time before an IPO. If sheerest common sense hadn't suggested to the lads that such a thing might be so, whatever in the world is there a legal department for? Surely every interview, especially a major one, ought to be first cleared with legal. So much for the theory that boy geniuses never make mistakes. In publicity or anything else . . . .

Sorry Owlcroft, what are you referring to here? Can you throw me a link and/or clarifaction? thx... thomas.
Who cares SE, with all those young chicks, why would you be counting money? You only need so much cash, Larry and Sergey are already at the maximum chick level (in other words, they have enough to impress Playboy models). Plus they are big stars in show business now A Billion here, a Billion there, who cares when you have Playboy Bunnies calling you These guys are the biggest thing to hit Hollywood since Wacko Jacko's last court case
Hehe - Man, one day... one day... I WILL get an invite to that mansion. Give it 5 years ; ) Maybe if I make enough xxx sites I will be accepted into the Playboy community. Here's hoping
Why bother about IPO? It's been long time that I rule Google SERPs and make money on it. So I don't care!
Yeah, it is every webmasters dream SE, to sit around the pool at the Playboy mansion discussing SEO with Playboy Models That Page Rank stuff will get them in the mood to party
I'm just waiting for all the suckers to buy in at the opening bell and watch the stock nose dive as the 'insiders' sell off quickly. I'll be the guy on the sidelines laughing my **** off.
hehe - SEO isn't really that much of a turn on. I'll have to get a new job. Or lie ; ) Either way, I will impress the lot of them. Hehehehehehe - I wish
Yeah SE, but money and press stories like Larry and Sergey have attract women You just need to start your own scandal and get on the news, maybe I will see you on Entertainment Tonight soon
Google says that this will not stop the IPO, if they have to, they say they will buy the stock back from investors if the Playboy interview results in an SEC lawsuit. http://news.com.com/Google+adds+Playboy+info+to+SEC+filing/2100-1030_3-5308657.html?tag=html.alert http://cbs.marketwatch.com/news/story.asp?guid={C3704F65-2FF7-46EE-9BBD-1E699D7428D8}&siteid=mktw&dist=nbi
patent - 2. open to all; generally accessible or available 3. obvious; plain; evident 4. open or unobstructed (Webster's New World Dictionary, which I recommend as the preferred desk dictionary) Sense 3 is the one chiefly intended. (Ex., a patent lie, a patent error). In this sense, normally pronounced with a long "a" sound, to rhyme with its antonym latent.
And we all thought you made a mistake Owlcroft, how silly of us to think you might have fallen asleep while typing. Owlcroft is not capable of making a typo folks If I had a date with Playboy I would want it patent also Owlcroft so all my friends could see me
