size doesn't matter. Seriously, the best web design typically comes from a small team of 3-8 individuals, in your local area who can work with you face-to-face and are on top of their skills. You'll need a back-end programmer, a designer, possibly a front-end programmer (unless the designer or programmer are doing it), an account rep and a tech support person. That's the ideal team. If you have more than 2 of any of those you start to really lose the quality and speed. I hope this helps...
I agree 100%. Your small studios will produce good quaility. Website companies like heritagewebdesign.com and 123triad.com are turning huge profits since they have such a huge demographic. There's some inc 500 article thats says that profited 12 million in 2007. I was just curious if someone has a list of the most profitable companies.
That's some good advice. Locals are always preferable to online contractors. In my experience, 2 or more back end programmers aren't bad if managed well as software development is profoundly established upon modularization. Experienced back end developers can easily work together well even without a manager - of course, a manger is not the decision maker in this case.
Pretty much agree with innovati. Size doesn't matter. Hire someone you could work face to face. It helps coz along the way, they will teach you a trick for free . Isn't that's a bonus - especially when what they teach you are something new or things you don't know about.
Even though I agree with the above, it would help to know what country you live in (and if in the USA) what State.
what' your aim to find out list of largest web design company'? BTW, i must suggest you to search in Google with very generic keywords like web design, web designing and if you are finding local provider than add the location of your areas behind this keywords.
