Would a good tactic be to build a ton of small sites in one niche and then consolidate the content on a large site? This way all the content would be duplicated only once and surely Google cannot be bad against that? I am considering creating 5 sites in the same niche and just rewriting the articles to fit on each site and target a slightly different order of keywords....
a large web site is better than a small but you can make a no. of small niche sites to advertise or promote your big web site.
One BIG site or Maaany tiny sites? If you want money only, build maany tiny sites with plain but original content. If you want money and reputation, build a huge site with valuable original content to your visitors. both type of sites will be loved by Google. both requires lots of work.
IN my opinion make one large site with good quality content which concentrate on one niche and then try to add one pages with new topic every week.
Of course large sites, it shows that the owner of the site is dedicated to his work and anyone/engine including Google will prefer that compared to other "colonies of sites" if I may lol
IMO.. Large sites with real time updatation is better i think.. It gives good revenue and u can multiply scale and do experiment with publisher and come to conclusion soon...
Well put.. And moreover, you never know when you start liking one of your sites too much you keep adding pages... Big sites are mighty difficult to build.. But to be frank, Three large sites, and about a hundred small sites should do just fine..
From my experience i rather have 1 big/good site than lots of small ones... they give a LOT more trouble maintaining.
