Hey, Im having a problem with my ad units only showing 2 ads per rectangle. I have just set this up to show what it is like but you can see an example here: http://www.alldotnet.com/Internet_and_Web_Services/ There should be 4 ads in each unit and its making a lot of white space. Can anyone help with this? Thanks
JohnD - this is not an error. Google says they do this to actually help the publisher out. They will weed out lower paying ad units and place a lower number, but higher paying ads in the space.
My problem though is I needed 4 ads to make it integrate well..having the space makes it stand out too much which is what I don't want. What have people done that are needing 4 ads to integrate with their site design? Thanks for the help
Some keep it as it pays well but if more worried about the design they split the ads up for example if it happens on a 250x250 use two 125x125 blocks instead.
You have too many ads on this page IMO anyway. Who wants to pay to be in a directory where there link is below three (3) sets of AdSense? You might want to give this some more thought - you may be better off with the one small unit at top as you have it and then run 160*600 skyscrapers on the left/right sides.
u have one google ad under the section Sponsored Links section which is fine. then u have another two google ad under the section Regular links, which might be against TOS.
It's been happening on a more aggressive basis in the last couple weeks. For me - it has been the straw that broke the camels back. It helps some sites, and it hurts others. What I have determined is that for almost everyone it causes a DECREASE in CTR and an INCREASE in EPC. If your ctr falls by 50% or more as a result - you were probably better off before Google made decisions about the ad layout that is best for your site without consulting you. It pissed me off to be frank, and I pulled 50% of AdSense inventory from my site and replaced it with Y!, and I couldn't be happier. I'm tired of Google playing God with the advertising space that I give them. LEAVE IT THE F#!* ALONE - I monetize it to the best of my ability, and when you (Google) come along and make "improvements" that cost me hundreds of dollars - I take offense, big time. I understand that this is something they have always done - but there was a very noticable change that happened recently that caused the adblocks to have fewer ads more regularly. Who knows why... maybe the CTR was too high on them and the conversions too low - either way, it's common courtesy to notify someone before you make a major change in your program. /rant
wrmineo your right, I have far too many ads, I was just doing this to see if it was a problem with google not being able to fill the units but I know the answer now
Yes he did and he could'nt be happier Wake up son! it is 13.00 oclock already! your school starts hours ago ... you are still sleeping ... J/K Come on mate, it is allowed by Google to use "Sponsored Links" and "Advertisment"
