Large Nintendo Wii Site / Forum with Revenue

I have decided to put my Nintendo Wii Fansite and forum up for sale. The site consists of a blog, a popular forum and a good brandable domain. I created this site when the new name "Wii" was announced by Nintendo in April and the site went live in May. The site was created as a hobby site and not as a serious money maker. I figured it would be fun to have a Wii forum since I am a big Nintendo fan and I could get my feet wet with running a forum.

THE BLOG

The front end is running wordpress. There are currently (156) unique and original blog posts written by me and another member.



THE FORUM

The forum is a great community which currently has 1300 members, 1750 threads and 32,600 Posts. The site gets around 5 – 10 new members each day.

The site is running Vbulletin and also is using vbSEO for URL re-writing. The VB license is leased and therefore is not included in the sale. The vbSEO licensed is owned however and will be part of the sale ($150 value)

The site is currently listed in several top directories including BOTW, Alive, Site-Sift, Dmoz and many others.


INDEXED PAGES

It should be noted that the amount of pages indexed is in transition right now. Initially the site had the forum installed in the root. I moved the forum to the /forum directory and installed a CMS in the root. I 301’d everything over and the indexed pages are slowly coming back.

PAGERANK

The site is currently a PR 3, but that will most definately increase in the next PR update as I have done very strong link building with quality sites and attained many quality natural inbound links as well.



SITE TRAFFIC

The site had 30,000 unique visitors and 473,000 page views last month and is on pace to do the same or better this month. This number should only increase at Christmas when more people get Wii’s.

I moved the site in the last week in August to a new host, so I do not have the previous stats to show.

REVENUE

For a long time, the site was not monetized. I purposely moved the forum out of the root and installed a CMS tool (wordpress) about a month and a half ago in an effort to build some revenue. Currently, only the blog is monetized, NOT the forum.

The site currently averages around $6 a day in adsense and did $196 in November.

The affiliate banners on the blog are fairly new. I have had one sale via Gamefly for $18.
