We have large Google Adsense ads displaying on our website, and we have never had them before. How do some websites, like ours, get large Google Adsense ads displayed and others don't? What do they mean? Can someone tell me more about these types of Google Ads, please.
Do you mean only 1 ad is shown on "large" ad blocks of 336*280 or 250*250? If yes, there is nothing you can do that is adsense optimization algorithm at play.
I don't understand the question, what do you mean by "Large Google Adsense ads"? The size of your ads is controlled by the code you add to the page and should never change. If you are seeing ads that you're not expecting to see, the only thing that comes to mind is that maybe you are hosting with a free host who place their own ads on your site.
Sorry about the obscure explanation. What I mean by large Google Ads is that we have a 728 x 90 Google Ad block displaying only one ad. The single ad on this block, however, is displayed with a very large font that really grabs attention. We have never had a really large font before and we don't know what to make of it. We pay for our hosting, so we're not being served "free hosting ads." Here is a link with a screen shot. http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff106/0712layouts/Googleads.jpg We have not set up the Google Ads to display large fonts like this and it is doing it by itself.
It is a CPM ad. You get paid on impressions + Clicks. That being said, your CTR will go down + they are usually run of network and the CPM rate is negligible (i.e. .05-.15 per thousand in my experience.)
Regarding ads, you cant control how they display within the ad size chosen, thats beyond our control as publishers.
Right, now I've got it. That's just a normal Google ad. It's not very pretty (I don't like them either) but we have to live with them.
