    Hi,

I own a rather large forum and it appears im struggling to earn much from it, google adsense terminated my account back in 2004 and refuse to unrelease the appeal for something out of my control. If anyone has any key advice to help me please do so, here are my google analytics's stats from yesterday.

    Thanks.

    hi
seems ur forum is big ! if you got terminated by google then you can use adsense alternate such as chitika, bidvertiser, clicksor .clicksor is good but if your site meets their TOS then u could earn same as adsense and also use affiliate products

    Hi

I used clicksor but their adverts seem loaded with trojans, atm I have tribalfusion running but ultimately would like to work with network that works well with game related material, we are also in alexa.com's top 15,000 websites.

    Game related material?

Have you thought about signing up at Commission Junction and placing affiliate links around your forum? That might be very profitable. There should be some gaming related companies that could benefit from a site like yours.

Its not enough enough traffic to generate significant income to be honest. Even with AdSense you probably would struggle to make $50 per month.

    Try to increase the traffic.

Another thing you can do is sell advertising space yourself. I have earned better doing this compare to the CPC.

Monetize your forum with in-text advertising program called infolinks. It should work well.

Is that 207,746 Pageviews for the past 30 days, for one day? You say that is from your google analytics for "yesterday". But google analytics usually shows for the past month, but you said it was from yesterday.

If that 207,746 Pageviews is for one day, you could sell advertising directly to merchants.

If that 207,746 Pageviews is for the past month - that is not a big forum. You really need to get those numbers up and then sell advertising directly to people.

Look into a program called openX. You can use it to run your own ad campaigns and bypass companies like google.

I wish you luck, but forums are generally poor websites to make money. CTR is always very low, under 0.5%.

Look for a script called "OpenX" - it allows you to setup a site where advertisers can buy advertising space directly from you. Lets say you have 2 or 3 sites, you can sell banner space on all of the sites through one central location.

For a vbulletin forum - there is also a script called vBAdvertise - http://www.vbcredits.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=54

With that, advertisers can buy banner space directly from you. It works off of a points system. If they do not have enough points, they can buy some through paypal.

So there are two options for you to be able to sell advertising space directly to merchants. And that is where the real money is at. With google, they give you a percentage of what they sold the banner or click for. By selling your own ads, you keep all of the money.

    Hi

I was banned because I believe a certain group from a certain internet site at the time where requesting users to repeat clicking our ads in an attempt to get us banned, then we got the dreaded "banned due to suspicious links" if i remember correctly, My current plan though is to run analytics for a month just to vertify our traffic then re-apply to adsense, that way they can see that my userbase is indeed original and not user generated or forced clicked.
