Large Established Football Website For Sale

Introduction
Due to a change in my circumstances, I've reluctantly decided to sell my first website FootballTransfers.co.uk, as I won't be able to update on a regular basis. I am therefore looking for someone to buy and take over the site.

It's preferable and recommended that the new owner should be a football/soccer fan.

The two people who help out are willing to continue helping after the sale, I too would like to continue being involved.

I am open to offers for the site, I will consider premium domains and sites as part of the deal, although I've no interest in arcades, blogs, forums, directories, Myspace, adult or proxy sites.

About the site
The site began in 1998 on free webspace provided by my then ISP. The basic idea was to gather together the latest football transfers news. A year later in 1999, FootballTransfers.co.uk was registered and the site took off from there. It was featured in football magazines as well as national newspapers.

In 2001, the site changed over to a database with ASP pages built specificially for the site. Unfortunately the site's increased popularity rose beyond what the host's server could take which meant various hosting moves. Eventually in 2004 it became evident that changes were needed to be made and the site was taken offline and rebuilt in PHP. This allowed the merger of FootballTransfers.co.uk and a football news site, which saw the news system integrated into FootballTransfers.co.uk.

Since then the site has continued to grow with information and remains the site for transfers information.

Scripts
Hundreds of dollars have been spent on custom coded php pages. Sections of the squads, transfers and speculation update daily via crontab, otherwise most pages are cached to save server load.

There's two admin sections, one is for the main site where transfers can be added, player profiles can be created, etc. Everything is editable. The second admin is for news, where stories can be added, edited, etc.

Both admin sections allow users to be added for access.

Databases
The site consists of two databases. One contains the actual player transfer information, while the other contains 8,742 news articles.

A breakdown of the main database's contents is as follows:
- 41054 transfers
- 20649 players
- 3613 clubs
- 213 leagues
- 160 nations

Domains
Included in the sale are three domains that are six years or older. Until a few days ago the domains had been PR5, for some unknown reason they've all dropped to PR4. Regardless, via one of the domains the site ranks in first position for 'football transfers' in major search engines.

Advertising Revenue
Admittedly, I've neglected the advertising part of the site, basically I just leave the advertising networks to deal with it.

The site has made $6598.88 via Burst!, Fastclick, Casale and Adsense over the last year.

Traffic
Since the start of transfer windows, the site's traffic gets the most busiest during January and the summer. That said, there's always some form of transfer news, therefore the site always receives good traffic.

Do you have at least a price range? Will the buyer take over CPM accounts? Can i have traffic referrers and se keywords? Do you use awstats or google analytics?

The new owner won't be able to take over the Fastclick account as they've just accepted another of my sites, as for the others I'll have to ask.
