Hey guys, I've not been in this part of the forum before but I am at a bit of a loss, and hoping that someone might be able to point me in the right direction. I am working on the link profile for a couple of sites that need to rank for VERY competitive phrases! I have noticed two new sites fly into the top 10 out of nowhere! After looking at their backlinks, they have been flooded by mass amounts of foreign links. .cz, .ru etc.. Is there something I have missed in the last week or two? What is it with foreign links that seems to be getting sites ranking at speed? Any ideas? Any ideas on the best place to find a supplier for this? Ta Tg
Hey TG, They could have possibly just spammed a bunch of sites on foreign domains. I'd take a look to see if there is any repetition in the types of sites the links are coming from. Feel free to pm me if you want me to take a looksy myself. cheers
A site that appears in the top-10 from out of nowhere, driven by huge amounts of links from other countries, might well dissappear from the top-10 in the near future. Linkspamming your way into the top of competitive SERPs will probably be a short-lived pleasure. Your competitors in these niches will be ready to report any sign of black-hat work to Google..
i agree with this.. in my opinion.. ranking in top10 out of nowhere with massive foreign links will just likely make you rank there for a short period of time.. dont be practicing this kind of seo.. natural links may take long.. but surely you will be on top for most of the time if you do achieve this.. zrhder
I have also seen this with one of our sites. The top spot for our keyword has a load of random links from overseas sites. My own opinion is that i would rather not take the risk. Whilst number 1 would make me money, dropping from the top ten would be expensive.
Even links from foreign domain names and sites are helpful and they cannot do any harms, you know links are links anyway.
