    Is this a new feature? I recently saw this on a site and it caught my eye. I actually clicked on it. Does this cost more in adwords?

    This may also be a standard Half Banner, but is displaying only one advertiser due to Google's (relatively) new AdSense format. The copy I read indicated that Google will now serve less ads per ad block, or even a single ad, if it's determined that this will yield the highest CTR for a given situation. And if there were an advertiser that could warrant having a solo ad displayed, MySpace would be it. ;)
