The highest ranked laptops in every category by Consumer Reports for the last 10 years has been Apple laptops.

I would go for Dell. Apple you pay too much for the brand name.

You don't know what you're talking about.

You can't do any of this. Get Dell to guarantee Microsoft software will run on their hardware forever. Get Microsoft to guarantee their software will always run on Dell. Get Microsoft to sell you operating system upgrades for $30. Get either to guarantee your hardware will work with all their software and all their products together seamlessly just by plugging them in to each other. Just try and take your Dell or Microsoft product to a local store and get it fixed. You can't!

You can do any of that with Apple products. Apple products were rated #1 by Consumer Reports for reliability and service over Dell and all other manufacturers for at least 10 years in a row.

Get a Mac, well worth the money. Or you can consider Asus, been using it for 8 years without any issues.

I definitely would go with a Toshiba or an HP. They are very consistent and always seem to be reliable and keep to their word. Other laptops in my experience usually don't last long and always have something that is falsely advertised.
