Is there anyway to disable a laptop's touchpad? I have looked everywhere on the laptop itself, and in option menus, but can't find a solution. I keep hitting the touchpad while typing fast, which can be very annoying while writing articles to suddenly see I selected a few lines of work and replaced them with a few letters. Perhaps there is another solution?
"control panel" if you are using windows. But probably won't work. I turned it off a few times myself, but it keeps coming back to life. Put some duct tape over it
Hmm. Still can't seem to find it. Could you be more specific? I'm on Vista Business. Duct tape would clash with my fashion sense
Interesting. I might do that if I hadn't of spent so much money on my current wired mouse. Plus, I hate wireless mice.
Control Panel > Mouse > Touch pad > Disable That should do it. At least thats how it is on my Toshiba lappy.
huh, even my Acer has an option to do so! luckily I don't "type" and have never been @ odds with my TP buy a new LT! j/k. Have you searched for it using the OS for keywords in relation to the TP? one thing that took me forever to find was a CAPS lock registry tweak that disabled the caps lock key...I used to hit that all the time, nearly drove me insane. of course Vista being so new...might be a tough find on a tech forum
