I'm a laptop newbie but I got to ask this question
What's the difference with 16", 15.6", 15.4" laptop screens when all of them achieve maximal resolution 1336x768?
Which one is better and why?

Resolution and size don't necessarily go hand in hand, but typically you don't need a larger resolution than needed on a screen to small to count. Even if the laptop was capable of displaying larger resolutions, the end result would be a very small screen and hard to read. So to answer your question, there really isn't a better one than the other, its just up to you with the form factor of the laptop more than anything. A 1" difference is not all that much :)

Basically size matters :D - remember also that the smaller your laptop usually the longer the battery, but again the screen is smaller. Think about if you are going to be near a Power Plug or not

my laptop is 15.4 and i love it. the resolution is 1280x800 and it's ideal for this size screen. anything higher than that you would be struggling to read.

3 years ago i had a sony viao 17" and although the laptop was very good and the screen was big it just wasn't practical because it was quite heavy and the battery life was just over 80min (not good)
