    Lap-tops are usually PCs too, but obviously you're referring to desktop computers. Since I don't move around much, desktop computer is best. At least in the past desktop computers used to be much more powerful than lap-tops, but I'm not sure it's true to the same extent nowadays (correct me if I'm wrong). I think the keyboard on laptops is not very good (too flat) and neither are the speakers usually.

    (weird, the word laptop keeps disappearing, is it like a swear word that has to be censored? lol)

    If you want to bring some mobility in you Computer use then its LAPTOP.

    Well, I use my desktop for high performance stuff and since it's custom built, I've build it too do this;
    and I use my laptop for most of my web programming and server-side stuff.
