    If I were you I'd contact the dealer right away, maybe it's still on warranty and you won't even have to pay for the repair or replacement.

    Right. I'll try the battery in other laptop suggestion first. (Thanks mate for that one). If that doesn't work, the dealer's getting a call from me this week.
