    Greetings

I have a website and i will use sub-domains to put it in sections. Like:

    videos.mysite.com
    downloads.mysite.com

Now, i did this to gain some seo advantage since each section is huge and will have alot of information and thousands of pages. Now i have a problem since i'm going to translate this site to 5 languages:

French, German, Italian, Russian and Spanish.

So naturaly i would like to have fr.mysite.com or de.mysite.com, but i also have the videos.mysite.com and downloads.mysite.com subdomains.

    So i cannot have: fr.downloads.mysite.com

So the question is, is it better to have:

    Downloads.mysite.com/fr/content.html

    or

    fr.mysite.com/downloads.html

In seo sense, what gives me more bonus? Remember, i have thousands of pages content that will be translated. I would personally prefer, downloads.mysite/fr/content.html, since i have designed it this way, but in seo sense, what is the better option? the download.mysite subdomain has a crucial keyword in the sub domain names, so i would love to keep it that way since my domain does not reflect that keyword at all.

    Whats your take on this?

    Thank you
