i just visit my my daughter this weekend and i had a chance to watch tv and i found out that there is tragedy happened last friday feb 17 in st. bernard leyte Philippines...i feel really bad about this coz there are so many children died...now the whole community of st. bernard are covered by muds...
They said it’s not because of illegal loggers but because of continues raining and an earthquake. Condolence to all victims
yeah... a whole community was buried under the mud including a school! last update i got was the death toll of the bodies they recovered was 75. Still a hundred more to dig and perform necessary burial.
It's really sad to hear things like this especially children in schoole who were covered mth mud. They say there might still be survivors down there.. Breaks my heart..
That was the village of my wife's mom. She does not live there anymore, but some of the family has (or had) relatives there. There may be up to 1,000 dead. I was watching the BBC earlier and saw them digging for the school. They don't know where it went. Those are some pictures I don't want to see.
I saw the news last sunday, shocking really. It's not just one community, it's a whole town with 11 communities, buried under several feets of mud. the churches, the clinics, the schools, everything, gone... just horrible.
