    Hello

I was registered asia domain when it was landrush, it is over now, however status is: PENDING (GoDaddy)

Shouldnt I be notified if there is auction or if it is mine already?

    Tnx

They will inform you soon - keep checking your email.

However, after 26-March .asia Domain names can be registered immediately on a first-come first-served basis

Will it still be necessary to have at least a contact in an Asian country to register an .asia domain?

The notice for the auctions can wait all the way until June according to the dotasia organisation. All auctions will be arranged between April and June and a few days before the auction an email will be sent out to the persons that can join the auction.

Registered earlier than landrush or after landrush.

It is only domains registered in landrush that are waiting for auction

Does anyone think .asia names will be worth much at some point in the future? I think they will be like .eu names - only of a little value to people in the EU (or Asia, in this case).

History always repeats itself. I wish the best for .asia investors, but highly unlikely. I've stayed clear of .asia and other "exotic" tlds.

Of course, I have different objectives in my domaining career than others do. Personal preference.

I think there is a big possibility for the .asia extension to get big, not as big as .com but perhaps similar to .net

Of course there is also a possibility that it will flop totally.. You have to look over how big risk you are willing to take when investing in it.

No, you don't need to. .ASIA is universally open for registration.

Since when.. Godaddy and EuroDNS still requires a CED, so should the others or they are breaking the rules for .asia domains.

Guys, has anybody outside of the listed asian countries, purchased a .asia yet? from godaddy maybe, ive even emailed them to see if their offering to provide the one asia contact neccessary, not had a reply from them yet.

If anyone can confirm this, have done it for themselves, please let me know.

dotasia states you need to reside in the region. you still need CED.

It will probably go global registration after june.

I do not think it will go global.
Why should they change the rules then?
