    Hi guys,

At the moment I am using adwords and redirect traffic to CB. But I'm pretty sure a landingpage is much better. Because everytime you promote an offer from a merchant through your own website, you are promoting your website (and the other offers) for free.

But, what do you guys put on your landingpage? What's your focus? Pre sell the product, catching the visitors email?

What's the main purpose of a landingpage? And what kind of landingpage do you have?

I am about to start and planning to go for landingpages focused on catching email adresses of the visitors to build a list.

    Please share your thoughts :)

Preselling or collecting email leads or both.

User should have an option of choosing from 3 different products.

I cant think of anything else.

Thanks for your input. Well they say less is more, so perhaps this is all what you have to do! :)

There are certain layouts of landing pages that will convert better. Less is more but too little will hurt you. Sell them without selling them. Sell them by telling them.

there is an old saying in sales. Telling is Selling. Basically it the art of looking like you are just giving information but you are actually moving towards a sale.

Thanks for your input. I've been involved in the online travel business for years. Our pages do have a small story about the hotel, but mostly it's just facts. Like the type of room, price, availability, smoking or non smoking and so on...

When I see those long sales letters, I always think "Who the heck is going to read this", and even more importantly "are people really buying this nonsense"?

Perhaps some you know some great landingpage resources, templates for CB products? (of course, I can find it through Google. But I rather take a website that you guys recommend)

I want to tell something more that i did nt write previously.

There are 2 kinds of visitors.

    1.who just spends 10 seconds
2.who spends actually reading your site.

So i presell the visitors 1 by just a simple pic / cartoon which he can make out the idea in like less than 3 secs and always giving the links to click.

For Visitors 2 , I presell saying some kind of comparison and reviews about the product.Hope this helps and adds.

Long sales pages are proven to convert more. There are a lot of psychological reasons as to why. good long pages have a certain flow. problem...connection...solution....reassurance....call to action...reminders....etc.

They have to stir a lot of emotions. Passion, Fear, Greed, etc.

landing pages on the other hand shouldn't be long. They should make the reader feel comfortable about getting ready to be sold. If it hypes them up too much, you will lose the sale. If it bores them, you will lose the sale. make them realize that they are making a wise choice or give them the fear of losing something and you will make the sale.

    hey guys,

Great advice here. I'd also add that it's important to make the landing page believable. If you can write about the product from the point of view of a satisfied customer it's more convincing to your prospect, especially if you actually include some stuff you didn't like.

It's always a good idea to collect email addresses too, as then you get more than one bit of the cherry of making that person buy.

My 2 cents anyway, hope it helps.
