Hi, today i started ppc marketing with adwords . I researched the forum but some people are prefering direct links some of them landing pages. Which one is more profitable and what are their advantages & disadvantages. I m waiting for your recomendations. Thanks a lot
Direct link has the advantage that each clicks you pay means a visit to your advertiser, but if you have a landing page you'll have traffic loss (not all visitors will proceed to advertiser page) that the % depends on your site design and strategy But when you use direct link, you are competing with all other publishers for the same Display URL and AdWords for example only show 1 Display URL per search - so your traffic will be very low. When you use a landing page, you have a chance of making a pre-sale (small reviews) that increase the sales chances - but remember that it is a additional long work to keep the site. When using a landing page also you are more free to promote that advertisers using ppc as a lot of advertisers restrictions do not apply (like is impossible to promote advertisers that don't allow the use of display URL using direct link)
Direct linking technically doesn't need to use the advertiser's display URL if you're crafty enough to trick Google... Landing pages can be beneficial if you think that you can make a better page than the advertiser did, and you can still send users directly to a "buy" link as long as URL redirects are enabled in CJ.
This is true, but is not easy to use a different Display URL - normally your add get disapproved. yes, in both cases it is beneficial: direct link and landing page.
So much competitor, it is best you use a landing page to collect your customers email, if not, you leave out a lot of money on the table, and not to forget, you generate your own meta tag and the whole page are in your control, PPC madeeasier and can lower your CPC.
You simply cannot use direct url because your quality score will be terrible and as a result you will be paying a lot per click.
