I am new to affiliate marketing, and I have been reading a lot of posts in here.
I hear a lot about landing pages and squeeze pages.

    What are they?
Can anyone show me an example of each?

This is an example of squeeze page. Basically, it's designed to collect emails and provide some general information about a product.

Landing page is a page, where customer lands after clicking your ad or a link on a website.

    Thanks.
So basically, a sqeeze page is like a pitch page, and a landing page is what you advertise, and you try to get users to go from your landing page, to the squeeze page.

Pitch page IS a landing page. It's just two different names, but meaning is the same. It just means a website.

There are different ways how to get traffic to your squeeze page, includind, as you said, putting a link to it on your website.

    Arson,

Squeeze pages basically one motive and that's to get your name/email address ... hence the name "squeeze"
Landing pages are more general ... it's a general term. Any page can be a landing page (be it content, squeeze, sales, etc).

Squeeze and landing pages aren't mutually exclusive (did I word that right?) ... If anything, squeeze pages are a subset of landing pages.

    Cheers!

if you have anything on your "landing page" that collects information such as email addresses. Your "landing page" is considered a squeeze page.

teapoint, that is technically "incorrect" ... As i've said, squeeze pages are a subset of landing pages.

    And yes, darkmessiah is correct.

Could you buy a domain name to cloak your hoplink, and then put that link in the article?

This sounds technically good, "squeeze pages are a subset of landing pages."

    Well said, TrafficLicious... :)
