HI, If i create a landing page for a product with information about the product, is there any way for me to directly send the user to the order page (by passing the sellers home page)? I don't want user to read 2 sales page - since they already conveinced with my landing page thats when they click the order button in my landing page, if it takes them to anther sales page they may go? Please let me know.
You should contact the owner. Some will let you and some won't. If you do it, and the owner doesn't want you to, they can keep your commission. So get it in writing too
Sounds like deep-linking.... may depend on setup or if frames are broken & the affiliate setup.... sorry if it sounds like a noob talking... just some thoughts
There is a standard clickbank link format for what you want, to be able to bypass the vendors sales page but I cannot find it. I thought I had it on my desktop. But I saw it on this or another forum. Mike
yes, you may send it to the order page for every product from cb. There is a clickbank link format but as i know it may lost the tid tracking. sorry i can't remember the format now.
I was tossing this idea around also but ran into a couple of problems I thought I'd pass along. I found a training video that shows how to link straight to the order page. Here is the link: http://www.netprofitstoday.com/blog/video-how-to-link-directly-to-a-clickbank-product-order-page/ The first problem I came across is something I discovered by accident. I entered the publisher's site through a regular affiliate link, which, of course, put cookies on my computer for that affiliate ID. I then went directly to the order page using the new instructions from the video. The link worked, but the affiliate ID showing up on the order page was the other affiliate ID. In other words, the link that went directly to the order page didn't override the first affiliate ID like it was supposed to. When I cleared cookies and then went straight to the order page with the new link, it then displayed the correct affiliate ID. So if you try this, you might want to do some testing in this regard to see if it works. I may just be doing something wrong. Secondly, I had sent an e-mail to Clickbank asking them if direct linking to the order page was in compliance with their policies, and I received the following response. "Hello Lynda, ClickBank forbids affiliate links that bypass the vendor's pitch page for several reasons. The first is that it creates problems with tracking affiliate commissions. In order to guarantee that you will receive your commissions, the customers you refer must go from your HopLink, to the vendor's pitch page, and from there to the ClickBank order form. ClickBank also discourages bypassing the vendor's pitch page as it creates unnecessary confusion for the customer, which often results in preventable refunds. When the customer is not directed to the actual vendor's pitch page, they become confused and believe that the affiliate is the owner of the product. However, the affiliate only promotes the product and cannot provide the customer technical support or request refunds on behalf of the customer. This results in frustrated customers who feel they have been misled and opt to be immediately refunded. Thirdly, ClickBank must protect the ability of the vendor to verify or dispute on their website whatever has been promised by an affiliate promoting their site. In this way a customer will not be misled about what a product actually offers. There have been instances in which an affiliate directing traffic directly to the ClickBank order form was very mistaken about what the product actually offered. This resulted in unnecessary refunds against the vendor's account, as directing the customer to the pitch page would have clarified any confusion. These refunds damage a vendor's standing in the Marketplace. As a protection against further undue refunds, the affiliate account was closed. In order to guarantee that you will receive payment for your sales you will need to direct the customer to the vendor's page, not the ClickBank order form. Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns. Best Regards, Eileen ClickBank Client Services" I do know, however, that people do link straight to the order page, so I really don't know what to think. Just thought I'd pass this along.
No. You did nothing wrong. There are many problems with using the bypass link: The HopLink takes priority over the bypass link. In other words, if the prospect has clicked on a HopLink before clicking on the bypass link, the owner of the HopLink will get the commission. The bypass link will not overwrite the HopLink affiliate ID. The bypass link doesn't drop a cookie. Therefore, if the prospect returns at a later date, you will not be awarded a commission. It is not possible to append ?tid= on the bypass link. Therefore, you can't track your sales. The bypass link is unofficial, which means that it can be removed at any time. Apparently, it was removed once before, in 2002 or something like that. There are ways around these problems. Cookie stuffing is one such way. However, it's not allowed. In short, even if the vendor grants permission to bypass his or her sales page, it's not a good idea to do so.
