As i have had this domain rotting away on my servers for some time I decided to turn it into a landing page for an iPhone 4 offer. I do not normally have this type of empty site so would love to hear your thoughts and views and tell me whether or not the design would encourage you to click the offer or send you looking for the back button. Thanks very much FreeMyiPhone SD
yeah it would encourage me. I did want to click on the offer but the next page has all the problems and I wouldn't go beyond it. Your page is good though, easy to absorb the information and has sufficient call to action.
Agreed, nothing wrong with it. You could perhaps list the features of the new iPhone 4? (more than just on the image)
I like it, the call to action is very obvious. However the link to your design site in the footer could possibly be distracting for visitors, the idea of a landing page is to have one obvious call to action, if there's other links to click they might not come back to the page.
Is it a joke? Privacy Policy, Imprint, Contact, everything is missing. Looks like a "just click and I get money" site... hehehe. The design is funny, good job!
Well thank you for the positive comments and I will adjust the designed by text so its less intrusive. Was also considering adding in a page with the iPhone 4 stats but am worried this will distract from clicking through to the offer. I am secrectly very proud of the apple logo and makes me smile when I see it lol
So this is a landing site? If so I would improve on the SEO. For example include more keywords that you are targeting in the title tag. Use the alt tag for your images and then make sure the keywords you are targeting are included in your meta description and meta keywords. Sidenote: YES ppl I know Google doesnt look at the meta keywords anymore but a LOT of other search engines still do take the meta keywords in consideration when they "compile" your ranking for their SERPs. Why not spend a minute or two on a good meta keywords tag which maybe could help you gain a "sale". Good luck man!
Hello sleepydude, What is the conversion rate for this landing page? I would advice testing various page layouts to determine which converts best. Statistics state that the average user will spend 8 seconds on a landing page before deciding whether to abandon or convert. So, your website needs to deliver enough information about your company and its product efficiently, or the user will probably leave your landing page without converting. Currently there is no information about your company! Why should the visitor trust your offer and give up their email address? The post-modern consumer is skeptical and jaded you have to talk to them in a new way. Best of luck. Kindly, Shelby
If you could make the red "header" background glossy (to match the apple-esque feel) It'd be quite a bit more inviting.
Thank you for all your comments this is something I have never really done before so all comments are helping. Convertion rate is resonable at the moment however would like it higher. Also have a bounce rate of 32% which I the worst of my sites but not sure if that is good for this type of site?
