So I see on a lot of "money making blogs" that landing pages are great with affiliate marketing. But I don't see why. Maybe it's because I spend too much time online, but I can spot a landing page or affiliate store from a mile away. I just want to know, do normal people actually use these? If I find something through a landing page/affiliate store I usually just go to amazon or something and buy it. I don't think I've ever used an affiliate store/link.
And how do you think - landing pages are for reason to show you that you are buying from some affiliate store or link, or to mask them ? << Your answer is here ! I can say one thing - you have bought things through affiliate links - you just don't see it
I'd say over 80% of both online and offline purchases are done via resellers/affiliates/partners/dropship/etc. You must remember - a majority of the world is a) internet newbs b) NO CLUE what aff marketing is c) They don't give a crap who gets what cut - they just want their product, now, for a good price - once they find it the average person won't look in the address bar, or for an affiliates button et al - they just buy. I have landing pages at all 9 or so of my products/programs that I run - affiliates would be LOST without them (unless they straight ppc). <<PPC - landing page decrease your costs quite a bit when not direct linking, and you have WAY more control over the keys you target and how you seo your pages. Here is a video I made regarding landing pages - http://www.projectwealthy.com/landing-page-video-freetip.html Cheers, if you haven't tried them yet - I suggest you take a few for a testrun. NC.
I've tried more of a landing site, with a blog about certain products and links to buy, but the niche is too competitive and wasn't really something I was interested in to begin with, I was just testing the waters. I did get a suprising amount of SE traffic for very little SEO work though. Maybe I'll have another run at it.
