What's a fair/average price to pay to someone for unique/modern landing page?

Short answer, it depends. Long answer, depending upon which technologies are used, Flash vs. Static HTML, if a database in involved. I'd say at the very least I'd start at charging your hourly rate, then go from there.

It depends entirely upon the price you and the designer agree upon. Sorry to be so generic, but that's honestly the best answer I can give you in this case.

This is a very broad question with many, many, many variables....

You say you want just a PSD, does that mean only background's, boxes, icons, etc... or do you want all the template design + images, sales copy, layout, etc...?

Can you explain more in detail... rite now the cost could range from $200-$1,000 for a good one.

The most important part of a landing page is the copywriting, and this can be the most expensive part if you want some quality content/copy. Don't take shortcuts on this part of your landing page.

If you want to send me more info i could give you a better idea of an average cost.

It comes down to time. If you are spending a couple days on this, it should be between 500-1000. If it's just a quick job you would be safe to ask 100-400

Honestly, when you just do a comp in PS, you have no idea if/how the design will end up working when you slice it and glue back together with XHTML/CSS.

As such, I would never buy a comp from someone who has never tried to slice and glue back with code.

I have bought a main page + 2 subpages with PSD files and XHTML/CSS for $200.

If it's very specifically made for me, I would expect to pay $60 an hour from a US designer and as low as $10 an hour from a foreign designer.

When you say landing page, do you mean a pitch page? A landing page just means the page that you intend to drive traffic to. For one company, it may be a press release, others it may be a form, some may be a sales page. It really depends, but I know that a GOOD sales page can cost $2500 from a good company that knows how to make good LPs.

Yeah I also think that $50-100 is the fair price for one page and PSD only.

1000$ is way too much for a landing page. PSD design only shouldn't cost you more than 50$ - 100$.
