I've been reading the google help section of adwords for advice, tips, etc.. I've also been Google searching for advice and tips etc.. I've found a lot of information that is contradicting and that does not make sense. So can someone please help with this answer once and for all. Here's my question:

Can you create hoplinks and advertise them directly with adwords?

    Or

Do you have to have a landing page?

The info directly from google seems to indicate that you have to have a landing page. If anything worse case scenario will I just not get approved if I try the affiliate links directly?

You can use affiliate links when you'r sending Adwords traffic to an affiliate program. However, it's better to use landing pages and 'filter' your traffic to your sponsors.

It's proven that this works much better in alot of cases!
