What have better conversion ? Simple landing page, with good big buttons, text etc, or biggest portal with articles, reviews etc ? I think landing page, but please write your opinions.
How do you get the traffic with landing pages? PPC? If not PPC then you need a larger portal site to generate free traffic. Then you can link to the presell page on the site.
totally agree with dcristo ... if you are hoping to get organic traffic then it is essential to go with a bigger site
Exactly, simple landing pages work with PPC but they might not work well with organic traffic, so it's better to build content around it. My team is working right now on a $500 USD Amazing PPC landing page to achieve better conversion, I'll let you know when we release it. Regards
For PPC - as mentioned already - a single landing page is optimal. The searcher knows what he wants (or has a general idea) so don't provide leakage with links - get to the point. For Single LPs it's best to have small font links at the bottom to diff. parts of your site (better for Search Engines) - e.g. Privacy Policy, Disclaimer, About, Articles, etc. For organic traffic - A content site may be desirable - in order to weed out beaters and funnel the good stuff.
