    Hi Guys

Sorry for asking this. I've searched the forum and found answers to my question but it seems like there weren't any other noob like me who asked this question so here goes.

Uhm...how do you create a landing page using wordpress? I searched the net too but all I got are stuffs trying to sell me templates. I just wanted to try and create a simple landing page by myself (that way I could learn too). But I have no idea what software (if there are any) to use.

I also tried editing my current Wordpress template but it didn't end up looking like a landing page at all. I just ended up cross-eyed because of the codes.

Any help would be appreciated thanks :)

Basically you will need to create a normal post, but design your landing page within that blog post. In your admin general settings you can then set that specific post as the landing page for the root domain of your blog.

I like the custom pages idea, depending on what you want from a landing page this is a phenomenal idea. Thanks for the reminder about custom pages.

just set a page or post as a custom page and add a file in your template called home.php i think it is... apply that template to the post (if necessary, sometimes it picks it up auto)... then you can set whatever you want on that front page..
