Hey Guys I have some clients for which I do some SEO work in which I am pretty good actually but I did PPC a lot before and it went excellent but now I started and no matter what I seem to I dont get any landing page to convert. A very recent example is selfdirected.selfdirectediratips.com/real-estate-ira and another one is irafinancialservices.com/contactnow Please if you can let me know what I am doing wrong or how I should improve the overall structure Thanks Jan
Ya think you can rewrite that post so it doesn't look like it was written by a six-year old? There aren't any ads on these sites to determine fully. But, anyway, are you sure these two sites have enough traffic??? .... And, did you give it enough time?
A landing page? You have landed in the correct place, but people are now more interested on discussing in those very long threads below yours. Below now because I replied to this
Hello Jan, Good effort. But can I make some suggestions? a) Who is your target market? Are they very sophisticated? Or they may be confused by the headline? If I were you, I would try something like “How To Qualify To Get A 10% ROI On A Sure-Fire Deal … “ And the subhead “Buy Real Estate Using Your IRA Right now …†b) You should have more features + benefits. c) Give some proof, what you’ve done for other people. d) Give more reason why for choosing you. I think that’s a good start, but it can be improved. Why not take a look at it in private and see how we can make it a killer short copy? PM for more info. Take care, Howard Jackson
Hi Jan, Here are 3 important things that you need to do right away to increase your squeeze page conversions a. Get rid of that timer - it wont fool anyone b. You have WAY to many color combinations going on that small squeeze page c. Get someone to write the copy - since I am an advocate of hypnotic sales pages, I would suggest you try hypnotic copy or just go with the flow but the current copy is NOT GOOD.
Building trust is a huge factor when it comes to anyone wanting to relinquish their personal details and for me this page is lacking in 'trust signals'. Firstly, I can see that you've used unbounce.co.uk to create that landing page. That's fine, I use it myself; but the green arrows on the left are the ones that are already provided and the layout is too basic. If you're going to use Unbounce.co.uk, make sure you 'make it your own' so that it doesn't look like 90% of other sites. The visual appearance of a web page plays a huge role in building trust or doing the opposite. This does the opposite for me. It's bare. Lacks quality - and I think visitors may conciously or sub-conciously get the impression that your service proposition lacks quality too. Are you a member of any professional associations. Are you accredited with anything? IF you are linked in any way at all with an organisation that has credibility, include their logos on your landing page. It builds trust.
Try to make sure you hit a few of the psychological triggers needed to draw a response. With Your headline offer specific immediate benefits. Propose a problem then agitate that problem with a shot story. Let your opt in solve the problem they may be having. check out this site too for ideas. copy blogger dot com.
Hi Howard, Well, at least one thing sounds truthful and sincere, "I really need some help". After that, it's all down hill. I think you have seriously misjudged the market you are dealing with. These are people's retirement funds. In many cases, it is their life savings. Your response is to send a message that says, "Watch out . . . scam warning"! The countdown clock is a worn out gimmick that immediately causes people to click away. The video that starts playing without the visitor turning it on is a loser. Run to the back button. How is a person who looks at your 'IRA Source' page supposed to tell that you aren't a hacker in the Ukraine phishing for emails and IRA account numbers. You have zero information about who they are supposed to be dealing with. You have no contact information. You have no privacy policy. I'm sure there are lots of people who want to turn over information like their emails and IRA account numbers to a blind website. It takes a lot of nerve to offer a 10% guarantee at a time when banks pay 1% and fully secured first mortgages pay 4.5%. There is no information about the investment, let alone the "guarantee". You may as well replace the clock with a flashing sign that says, "Suckers Enter Here" with a big arrow. When you say "No early withdrawal penalties or taxes. The IRS doesn't get a dime". You are distinctly creating the impression that, if someone sets up one of these accounts with you, they will be able to pull their money out, anytime they want to, without penalty". This is an out and out lie. They may be able to transfer their old IRA into yours without penalty, but that is not what you are saying. The story about Robert Hubbard in 2003 figuring out, with some difficulty and research, that people could invest their IRA funds in non-traditional investments is pure horse pucky. The vast majority of banks and investment brokerage firms, in the 1990's accepted non-traditional investments, no problem. All Robert Hubbard had to do was walk into a Merrill Lynch or Smith Barney office and open that kind of account. When I search on Google for companies that offer "self directed IRA's" I get hundreds of thousands of responses. Everyone from the largest mutual funds in the country, like Vanguard, to Wells Fargo Bank, to the largest stockbrokers. The idea that you are going to compete with those folks for RETIREMENT money with no information, no credibility, no trust, outright lies, misrepresentations and a countdown clock is a joke. "I really need some help" is an understatement.
For me, the headline "Buy Real Estate With Your IRA" could not possibly work unless, maybe, if the person visiting the page had typed those exact words into a search engine and found your page. It provides a solution to an unidentified problem. A stronger headline would describe what the problem is and the emotion the prospect feels as a result of the problem. Without knowing the particulars about this niche or thinking it through very much, I would suggest something along the lines of... "Think you can't afford an investment property or the house of your dreams, even after years of hard work?" sub-head: "How to buy real estate with a guaranteed profit using your IRA with no tax penalties" or something along those lines...
