So the question is: What is a typical lag time in backlink analyzers? I just recently (about 2 weeks ago) started engaging in SEO markteting for my newly launched website. I have submitted to approximately 150 free directories, added it to social bookmarking sites like de.licio.us, added to Myspace and facebook, as well as manually emailed a few contextually relevant sites and asked for links. To date, the only backlinks that backlinkwatch and yahoo display are Wikipedia, and the backlinks from my signatures in forums. I'm really not sure why the rest are not displaying? I know the directory submissions might take a while but I've been accepted in plenty, and I thought the social bookmarking sites would display rather fast. Is there a delay in the backlink checkers? Any advice or input would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance for helping a young SEO out.
