Hi all DP users Here I come for the first time with a rage in my mind to do something creative. How can I hone myself as a successful content writer? If you all stand by me I would be obliged. Please lead me light. Regards to all seniors ladyofshalott
Best place to start would be to read through the endless archives of threads on this very forum. There is no shortage of useful information and if you're new to this, there's a lot to get your head around. Probably not the quick fix you're after, but its an easy and convenient option for you.
Hi Lady, I can recommend a couple resources that helped me when I began as a content writer. I hope this helps. I would suggest finding someone (or more than one person) who can mentor you - someone who has done content writing and is successful. Jason Fladlien's material is great. I read a book he wrote about how to get started in ghostwriting, and it motivated me by showing me how to get set up in a way that is not initmidating. His book about How to write articles in 7 minutes or less is excellent. While I believe in more substantial research, he did get me thinking about ways to become more productive. I also took Jenn Dize's Power Ghostwriting course, which provided templates, writing strategies, and advice and growing your business. Jenn also offered at the time (and she may still offer) personal coaching via email. That coaching was invaluable in helping me to get started. Most of all, find people here who are successful and ask them to mentor you. I learned quickly by finding others who have already been successful. You can do the same. If you're committed, can write well and turn in work on time, you can be a wild success in a market that is full of undependable, sloppy writers. PS These resources and ideas aren't just helpful for ghostwriting. They can help you with any type of content writing you're looking for, I believe. Good luck!
