AND she kept her job after the first one. And she'll probably keep working after this one.

She should leave some for others -- Talk about luck!!

depending on how old she is/was I don't think that 1 million is enough to live on for the rest of one's life... so it is very sensible to keep her job :D

probably spent alot on lottery tickets...

Probably about half. I think the tax on that amount is around 45%. :)

Wow, she must be pretty stupid. Getting paid in $50,000 installments over 20 years will certainly devalue the original amount due to inflation. She'd be much better getting it right now and putting it in her own bank account, so that she gets the interest, and not the lottery organizers

Isn't there some sort of incentive to getting it paid over the years? If you get it all upfront, i think you get a smaller payout (before taxes). If you choose the installments you get the whole thing. I'd probably do the lump sum, myself, but depends on inflation/interest rates if it pays off or not.

Which is bullshit anyways (since the lottery has already been paid by the players - why give less for a lump sum?), but oh well.

Everyone that I know that has won a large sum of money have either gone the following:

    Bankrupt
    Divorced
    Lost their children
    Miserable.
Wished they never won the money

What does this say about winning the lottery? The people that I know were decent people before they won. What happened to them?

    Col :)
