Opinions/comments - is this text above ads ok? "Listed below are links to weblogs that reference site topic" From Google's TOS: It doesn't say to click on links, support the site or anything else...but I would think it could be argued that saying "Listed below are links to weblogs that reference site topic" is "drawing undue attention to the ads". There's this too.... Is the text I saw an "attempt to be associated with Google ads"? "Drawing undue attention" just seems vague. How would you define drawing due attention? Has anyone received approval from google for this or similiar language/labeling above ads? btw, it's not on my site. I saw it elsewhere.
Personally I go for the text "Sponsored links" or "Advertisements" as per the ToS. Anything other than that might be cutting the boundries close, and might earn you a warning or a ban, depending on how far you try to test your luck. So, while might not be prompting people to click on links, I still think it's outside the guidelines.
I would tend to agree. Just trying to get some more info/opinions before I contact the site owner. The site I saw this on is great site that's been online forever and day. They just recently incorporated Adsense into the mix and I noticed that "labeling" of their ads right away.
