L.com and LL.com ?

Ever since I came across these I was curious how one gets them and why I've never seen any for sale.

On Godaddy if I search for f.com it says it's an invalid name. However, z.com re-directs me to the nissan website.

So what are they ?

I don't think you're allowed to register 1 or 2 character domain names anymore... Only renew existing ones...

Interesting question ... It probably too expensive to be listed in those sites.

tarponkeith is right. you can't register one letter and two letters now for most tlds.

Beside z.com I only know about q.com and x.com being registered.

They used to allow you to register them, but they won't now.

they are considering auctioning them off (l.com names). Don't think theyve decided on anything yet but I heard some discussion of it a month or two ago.

Why did they stop allowing registrations of L.com or any tld? I'd love to have 1.com

You won't be able to own it anyway unless your budged is $xxx, xxx - $x,xxx, xxx.

There's only about 5 L.com of them that are still registered, the others have been taken back a long time ago after it was dropped. If any of the L.com do drop, they can't be registered again.

If you were to purchase a L.com if you ever were lucky enough, it would cost you at least $x,xxx, xxx

As to LL.com, you need to pay at least $xxx, xxx to a seller to acquire one of them.

All the other L.ccTLD are all taken as well, & it would usually cost at least $x,xxx to buy one of them
