    Mia you are totally factually incorrect, no matter how badly you want a 'spade to be a spade' in this instance one is a spade another a diamond.

    Sure appears something must be 'combined' 'added' to nonintervention to make it 'isolationism'

    ---
    By your own definition RP is not a 'isolationist' as he is not for 'protectionism' is he?......................The needed combination to make isolationism..

    By definition he is an isolationist. He's isolated himself from his own party, reality and ultimately hoped to do the same with the US's foreign policy. However we live in a global economy now. You just cannot cut off ties from the rest of the world piecemeal and expect to accomplish anything else other than appear isolationist.

    It's pretty much a spade.

    Appears to me he brought droves to his movement, he did anything but 'isolate' himself.
    Hell there are many in the republican party that did not vote for him based on the reason they didn't think he would get elected, not that they did not like him.

    By definition he is not an isolationist, no way, no how.

    Or Thomas Jefferson, or George Washington. I don't think either of them were isolationists, do you?

    Not according to the link you posted.

    This is a strawman. Again, can you name any other country that has our same foreign policy? If not, would you say that all of those countries are isolationist? Has all of their trade collapsed?

    Mia, in the words of Reagan, "it's not that you're wrong, it's that so much of what you know simply isn't true"

    Again, which other countries have our same foreign policy and extensive military spending and presence? If none, does that mean the entire rest of the world is isolationist?

    Nor were they loony.

    At one point it was. It would appear some RP supporter edited the page to add Ron Paul to the mix. Wonder who that was. :rolleyes:

    Did you forget that we are the only super power?

    No. But how is that relevant? Are the rest of the G8 isolationists?

    According to history from what I remember they were considered 'loony' in the time ;)

    Why do you consider RP loony however? You keep saying he's an isolationist which has already been proven by your own link he most certainly is not.
    What would that matter? Anyone with a 2nd grade education, hell even less than that can plainly read what the definition of 'isolationist' is.

    RP DOES NOT fit that, no matter how hard you want it to be true.

    To everything there is a season,
    a time for every purpose under the sun.
    A time to be born and a time to die;
    a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
    a time to kill and a time to heal ...
    a time to weep and a time to laugh;
    a time to mourn and a time to dance ...
    a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing;
    a time to lose and a time to seek;
    a time to rend and a time to sew;
    a time to keep silent and a time to speak;
    a time to love and a time to hate;
    a time for war and a time for peace.
    ecclesiastes 3:1-8

    I am not Christian or Jewish or Muslim, but wisdom is wisdom. How many seasons of killing, weeping, rending, speaking, hating, and war have we had in the global scene SEASONS in a row? Maybe it's time to heal, laugh, keep silent, love, and have peace? Just because the room looks to U.S does not mean we have to keep looking back does it? I tend to think the best politicians understand this and take all circumstances into consideration, unfortunately I sometimes think they are all as dead as Jefferson and Washington.

    Because he is GRIM... And if you look at the history at Wiki, some Ron Paul Worshiper added that recently. It was the last edit before it was restored.

    You do realize anyone can change wiki entries right? I could wiki God and change that to Ron Paul and people would start believing it too.

    Are you the one editing the wiki entry? Because the entry has been changed twice in the last week. The June 20th change singled out Ron Paul after I owned you for the link.

    The previous entry is from May. So obviously a RPer did not edit it recently.

    Why are you continuing to vandalize Wikipedia Rasputin89?

    And it is vandalism because Ron Paul is a non-interventionist that is for free trade. You're purposely changing the page to make it incorrect and spread lies about Paul.

    If his name is listed or not does not change the definition of isolationist which clearly shows you needing two items to make, one of which RP definitely is not which = very clearly he is not an isolationist.

    According to your own post.

    It clearly states in order to achieve or have isolationism you need two items,
    #1 a Nonintervention policy which RP is
    you also need
    #2 a economic nationalism 'protectionism' of which RP is the exact opposite of.

    Trying to say RP is an isolationist or even part isolationist with this terminology is like saying Hydrogen is Water as Hydrogen is needed for Water.

    You need both items to equal an isolationist, one ingredient does not bake the cake ;)

    What kind of response is that? It's clear you have been vandalizing Wikipedia by your username Rasputin89, and the edits coinciding with your post here.

    It's juvenile. Rasputin89, wikipedia vandal and you don't have the courage to own up to it.

    I've already posted it to the Ron Paul Forums. I'm sure the Wiki watchers there will report you and fix any vandalism you do.

    Own up to what? I don't hide my edits. If I did, I would have done it anonyomously like the guy from Windsor Ontario Canada using MNSi DSL, or the guy here in Wisconsin using Charter cable.

    I know who both of you are. I don't hide my identity. Its right here in the open.

    My signature here at DP, as well as my identity elsewhere is clearly out in the open. If I wanted to edit wiki without you are anyone else knowing who or where I was, believe, me I would have done it.

    I'm fairly certainly I already pointed out in this very thread that I fixed the obvious attempt to alter reality. That Ron Paul edit was added only a few weeks ago. I only noticed it after posting my link. That's the way wiki works. It's every updated, ever evolving, and self correcting.

    You mean the one referenced here? http://fskrealityguide.blogspot.com/

    Everyone here know's who I am. Please, don't make me call you out.

    Its a real paradox. ;)

    I'm not hiding anything, I was too lazy to create an account, plus according to their own page a reason to create an account is to 'hide' your ip ;)

    I simply had to correct an absolute false statement, I'm anal that way.

    What's anonymous about that? I've been working and living across the border for almost 2 years now.

    Looks like GRIM corrected it. :)

    That's not my blog. But he has some good posts.

    I don't think so. It's worthy of a paradigm shift. ;)

    Thanks for the green rep btw. You're a nice fellow. :D

    To edit the first paragraph of that page, you have to have an account. You do not to undo it.

    That is why I used my account. And my IP is hidden to the public, but not to those in the know.
