what do you guys have to say about KP, Englands brand new captain.

a great leader, really aggressive guy who believes in his abilities and is not afraid of going after even the aussies!

i think such people will always make a mark for themselves.

I like him very much as a batsman ,He is like a young Tendulkar

But I am unsure how he will handle this captaincy pressure...

as of now he looks like a good captain but there will be times when you will not score and you have to motivate the team also...

yeah. i just wish he develops some bowling skills as well.. that ways, even if he is out of touch, he will be contributing to the side.

I know the South Africans just want to go home and aren't that interested in the One-Day series (having won the Test series 2-1) but we're ALMOST developing a good one-day side now. We've got Anderson and Broad to swing the ball when it's new and then Flintoff and Harmison to come on as 1st change. Patel's a more-than-adequate one-day spinner and Pietersen can also do it a bit as well. In the batting we bat all the way down to 9, and there are adequate replacements (e.g. Bopara) who can come in. Here's hoping for a 5-0 whitewash on Wednesday.

Of course it will all go tits-up when we go to India in the winter and Australia come over next summer, but I'm enjoying it for now.

Yes India will beat them easily and at home India is strong team.:)
What will be your margin? I would go with 5-2 in for India.

Well India is now doing good outside from home but one thing is sure that India is very strong at home and it is very difficult to any team to win in India.

Yes he looks a strong leader and ECB should appoint him as a captain for both team ( TEST and ODI).

Not the first either! (Tony Grieg was also South African). In fact there was a period in the 1970s when out of a succession of five England captains only two were actually English!

    yes, you are quite right.

although it is highly unfortunate that many asians, south africans etc. find it easy to make way in english sides rather than their own native sides!

here's a few that come to my mind

    Graeme hick (zimbabwe)
    kevin pieterson
    nasser hussain
    mark ramprakash
    owais shah
    ravi bopara
    monty panesar
    sajid mahmood
    usman afzal
    samit patel
    and many more!

i think this could lead to frsutration amongst the native englishmen!
