Aaah, I did not know about "if you earn less than $5 per month that amount will not be accumulated in your total earnings". I removed Kontera from one of my websites to try Infolinks, and agreed with others, Infolinks is better than Kontera. A month later I checked my Kontera account and I was shocked that all my earnings which I earned around $50+ are gone. :-(

I removed all Kontera links from all my websites and stick with Infolinks.

seems like infolinks is a big hit on kontera, i see publishers droping them even without looking at how much money left in their account.

    kontera policy is simple :

1- taking as much money from advertisers (which are few)
2- give the publisher 0.01$ per click
3- the minumm for payment is 100$ ( 10000 clicks to reach this amount)
4- if you make less than 5$ per month, kontera take this money.
5- small publishers give up and kontera takes the whole thing including the 0.01$ because you stoped useing kontera without givign them 30 days notice. !! (oh yes .. read kontera terms).

good luck with infolinks .. i am very excited with them, very good earning.

For some reason this list made me think of record labels and how they operate.

From now on I'm going to be reading every ad networks TOS thoroughly, including Infolink's :D I might just ditch inline text links altogether, since they are a bit too annoying for the return.

i recently got aproved by infolinks, 80% of their links seem to be referring you back to monstersearch for all the highlighted words, where as Kontera has links going to different sites but are not too relevant to the words highlighted

Kontera is the CLEAR winner for me. Info Links pay about 1/3 of Kontera for me. Kontera customer service is awesome, easy to implement and MUCH less intrusive than Info Links ugly 'roll down' ads, and take less time to load.

I have tried, Infolinks, Kontera and Chitika and it's not even close! kontera rocks!

Seriously, you guys must have some of the worst quality websites in the industry!

I run a blog network of sites that is less than 1 year old, with content somewhere between 'ok' and 'good' and my yesterday income from Kontera looked something like this:

    11.000 Visits/hits total, 5% Clickrate, $35 Income

Infolinks dosen't even get closes to these numbers for me!

(Not actual exact figures, actually lowered them and rounded off, normal day and about average numbers for me with kontera)

Yeah, that sounds likely. Cause infolinks idea is to loose amazing amounts of money, fast..

    Not even close to true!

I am really happy that kontera is working for you, but i am sorry kontera is not working for me and for a lot of publishers like me.

also, we left the best of the quality sites for you :) you have the best sites in the industry.

anyway, my point is, we all webmasters here, we have different niches and we use different networks, and as i said before, i am happy for you and for your kontera earning.

by the way, check my 2006 thread about kontera - i love kontera. :)

Kontera is a great compnay, support is great, and they are nice people, they used to pay good, used to !!!, but not anymore. pay as low as 0.01$ per click.

Infolinks came in to the market, and seems they are a great company too, and yes they pay better than kontera, much better, at least for me. :D

I still have $52 in kontera and I can't withdraw it because the $100 minimum.. but I'd rather leave it because it would take me 2 months to make the extra $50 and i make that in 2 weeks with infolinks..

I don't know but I thing that infolinks is start to be like Kontera...
before I have 4 clicks with infolinks and give me $0.89
And now is going down... today with 7 clicks I get only $0.4...
what is this ? I make 4 times better with only 1 click from Google Adsense ....
Now I know why all the big sites use Kontera...

I had written a review on Kontera sometime back (http://www.dollarshower.com/kontera-contentlink/). My thoughts on it changed since then and I stopped using it on my blog. I have been getting a per click rate of 5-7 cents but for that a couple of cribs were also there from user. A few of them complained about misguiding them to click on what they don't want.

However, if you have an already established, keyword rich site, perhaps it's useful. Remember to use KonaBody div's wherever you want it to appear. Otherwise even your titles, sidebar items etc will be marked as content links.

Reads like 50/50, so is there a winner?
