Ok so I did my research, and it appears as they don't allow it. But I've been reading that they DO allow it, so what's the deal? Do they allow it or not?

Yes that shoud be fine ... the only thing Google asks is that the ad units look different so that users are not confused as to which ones are Google ads and which are not.

So... keep them looking different and you are ok!

So Adsense allows them to be used with the ads, but it is a two way split. What about kontera, do they allow other ads similar to theirs to be on the same page as their ads. Adsense is not the only program that has TOS.
