If you had a team that was very talented and had the championship pieces already in place, and all you needed was a superstar to take this team to the next level who would you choose between Kobe and Lebron. Lebron is only 23 years old, 6-8 255 pounds with the speed of a Randy Moss and Hops of a Michael Jordan. He's a flat out beast attacking the basket. Kobe is a 3 time NBA champion and currently considered the best player in the NBA by many.
In terms of scoring I think their equal, but other statistic like assist and rebound LBJ has the edge.... but Kobe makes the crucial basket. if you are the coach and your team down by 1 w/ 10 seconds on the clock who you would you want the ball to Kobe or LeBron? I'll take Kobe anytime.....
James, size, skill, and can play on a team with control over them But I would trust kobe with time running down
Its almost a no brainer. KB24 is the the ultimate choice. He does everything that LBJ can do except better. He is a far better shooter, he can drive to the basket like no other, he can pass, and he's an extremely smart rebounder. He has been on the all-defensive team numberous times. Not to take anything away from Lebron, he is only going to get better and might one day even be better than Kobe, but for right now he's still under him.
Head to head Lebron usually gets the better of Kobe. On the defensive end he is able to stay in front of Kobe and force him to take difficult long jumpers while on offense he's able to get inside the paint on Kobe. Kobe's a more streaky scorer but Lebron is a more efficient scorer, better rebounder, better vision and better passer.
Lebron is the best because he can doing it all; 3 pointers, dunks, blocks, steals and rebounds. His only weak point is he never back up defenders. Kobe is not assisting as Lebron.
