Hi everyone, I have wordpress multisite and looking for a new host, I'm currently debating between Knownhost managed ssd vps or wpengine. Which one would you recommend? Appreciate any feedback knownhost specs 2048MBGuaranteed RAM 30GBRAID10 SSD Storage 2x Priority24 CPU Cores 3000GBPremium Bandwidth
I have no experience of wpengine, but I have used Knownhost and they have been very good with fast servers (especially the SSD hosting) and customer support has been pretty good too. Others worth considering are Wired Tree and Liquid Web both of whom I am considering for my next big project. I have also used Hawkhost for a while and their Customer Service has been excellent, and I have only ever had one uptime problem. You can find any of the providers mentioned by typing them into google.
You should definitely go with Knownhost. We've had the pleasure of working with them for quite some time now, they offer great support while maintaining competitive prices.
i havent tried wp-engine, however, if all they do is host wordpress websites, and if they are experts at it, then they will likely be able to provide better support and service specifically for wordpress websites.
I'd definitely suggest to check VPS hosting plans from my favorite company euro-space.net . They do provide good performance VPS hosting and plans are as cheap as EUR 7.99 per month.
WP Engine all the way for awesome support. Go for knownhost, linode etc for scalability and cost-effectiveness
You would get more freedom with knownhost, but its comparing apples to oranges here. Two different types of hosts.
Neither. Any managed VPS host that knows what they are doing can make your Wordpress respond almost instantly. We opened our WP Blaze department due to the fact WP Engine charges on the basis of page loads, which we saw an opening in the market for Wordpress sites that are very high traffic.
How skilled is their staff? When you need customer service of a technical nature, you need it immediately, right? Find out the availability of their systems administrators. Send them a support ticket and see how fast they respond.
